HandiCapable Board Meeting
The meeting opened with prayer by Mike.
1. Stevens Appliance has donated spices, Arnie's Ace $25.00 Gift Certificate, Siding donated dinner for two. We are getting lots of good door prizes and had a fantastic write up in the Peru Tribune.
2. Mike is waiting for a return call from Pepsi and will ask them for soda at cost, enough for 1,000 people.
3. Ticket packets need stapled! (We will do it at the next meeting, bring a stapler!!!).
4. Lori has a call in to Circus Hall of Fame to see if they would like to set up their Cotton Candy Wagon.
5. Alan gave information to Comcast to advertise the Cook-Off.
6. We have 8 confirmed teams to date.
7. Herschel is pledging $50.00 to sponsor two teams to cook (he would like one to cook his Irish Chili recipe).
8. Alan ordered the shirts.
9. Mike will be getting a map so that the area can be canvassed with flyers and trying to sign up teams. Mike will go to Grissom, Herschel will go to Amboy and Converse, Alan will go to Rochester, etc..
10. Recommended minimum of 25 teams: 2,000 spoons, 2,000 cups.
11. Gail signed up 2 teams, she wins the $25 from Alan. Mike has $25 for the person who signs up the most by next Wednesday.
12. Radio station - we have a problem with the radio station and we will just use the ads that we have already purchased.
