But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.2 Corinthians 12:9

HandiCapable Board Meeting
Present: Mike Hines, Jeff Morehead, Eva Wildrick, Ron Wildrick, Alan Myers, Lori Holderman
1. Chicken-Noodle Fundraiser: Eva and Ron reported that planning is right on schedule. So far, Dorothy has sold 38 tickets, Hershel has sold 10, Eva & Ron have sold 23. Everyone will focus on getting the flyers out, word of mouth and pre-sale tickets. Mike was given a list of things to do including picking up some last minute items, sending out some personal invitations to area business people and sending thank you cards. Helpers are all arranged and we look for the event to be a great success!
2. By-Laws: There were not enough board members present to vote, this item will be placed on the next agenda.
3. Financial Report: The account balance is $118.00.
4. Advertising: After discussion, it was decided that we would not pay for any more ads, but Alan would talk about it on the morning show on WARU, and he would also write an editorial to the Tribune and check to be sure it was on the Community Calendar. We will GET FLYERS OUT EVERYWHERE!!!
5. Chili Cook-Off: The Firehouse has changed their fee schedule and to have our chili cook-off there, like last year, it will cost roughly $300. Other options for sites included the Riverwalk and the Miami County Fairgrounds. We agreed to try to raise the funds to hold the cook-off at the Firehouse by using Corporate Sponsors. We need to clarify the rules for the cook-off with the Health Department (how much cooking has to be done on site). The Chili Cook-Off date is October 11th. We are also planning a Bake Sale at Kmart on Mother’s Day.
6. MISC: The minutes for each meeting will be e-mailed to the board members and posted on the website. We need current email addresses for each board member. We will add oldschoollumber.com to the links on our website. They make custom made sliding boards or transfer boards.
Next Meeting: April 3rd at 6:00
